Stewart Shield

Although the game has been played for over 40 years overseas, at present, Sitting Volleyball is still in developmental stages in Australia.

The Stewart Shield provides a great opportunity for any group or individual to play the game.

This competition was innitiated by Glenn Pyne, a NSW player from the Australian Team, and was started in Sydney as an invitational competition for mixed teams.

Able-bodied and disabled volleyballers are all welcome to play, and in fact encouraged to form teams together.

The competition is held twice per year.
